Traffic was completely closed due to the strong current of about two and a half feet above the bridge, but a young man risked his life and tried to cross the bridge on a bike. He was about to reach the other side when he suddenly lost control and was swept away in the strong current. A video of this incident has surfaced. The incident took place in the drain flowing between Ponar Khurd and Dhapara village of Barghat police station area.

The water in the drain was overflowing due to the torrential rain since Monday morning. The traffic was completely closed, but the young man tried to cross the bridge risking his life. People were standing on both sides of the bridge with umbrellas and watching this incident. But, everyone kept watching the bike rider being swept away helplessly. The only thing that came out of people’s mouth was- Oh! He is gone, he is swept away… now he is gone. In the meantime, the young man along with the bike gets lost in the strong current of water.

Continuous rain continues in Bundelkhand, Mahakaushal, Malwa, Central India and Gwalior Chambal. But Baghelkhand will remain untouched by this rain.
